A summer college experience that changes students' lives and brings science education to all corners of the state? We do it at the museum.
Each summer, students become museum educators, bringing museum activities and giving presentations in libraries and community centers across the state. In communities where the nearest museum might be hundreds of miles away, the museum's visit is a chance to experience world-class science and cultural education, delivered by UO students.
Your donation will help fund student positions for the 2026 Summer Outreach program.
More than one hundred libraries have requested a museum program this summer. Help sponsor the student labor to make it possible to bring science education everywhere this year.
Student educators learn career skills, including public speaking, interpersonal relationship-building, and independence as they drive thousands of miles across Oregon.
These hands-on experiences are transformative for students and result in positive social impact that expands our understanding of our collective past, present, and future. Join us to help students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to gain experience that will launch careers their careers.
