When crisis hits, students need support right away.
Sometimes the biggest barriers to earning a degree have nothing to do with academics. A medical bill. A family emergency. A housing issue. Not enough food. For students already balancing so much, one unexpected hardship can put their education at risk.
The Students in Crisis Fund provides emergency support for students facing unforeseen financial challenges — helping them regain stability, stay enrolled, and keep moving toward graduation.
Last year, the fund awarded more than $189,000 to 304 students, helping them meet urgent needs:
84% obtained or maintained safe housing
94% had enough food to eat
89% paid essential utility bills
84% met healthcare needs
73% paid for academic supplies
Because of donors like you, students can recover more quickly, stay focused on their studies, and continue building the future they came to Oregon for.
Your gift to the Students in Crisis Fund helps ensure that a temporary crisis does not become a permanent setback.
