Global Engagement
Making a Global Oregon

The Division of Global Engagement connects UO students, faculty, and staff to the world.

We do this by providing vital scholarship funding for study and intern abroad opportunities, providing scholarships to international students in conflict areas, and by investing in international research.

The World is Your Classroom

Did you know that UO students who study or intern abroad graduate faster, with less debt, and have a significant advantage in the competitive job market?

With over 200 programs in 60 countries, the University of Oregon is a leader in providing these transformative experiences.

Currently, nearly 40% of UO undergraduates participate in study or intern abroad. Imagine the impact if we could reach 100%. Your support can make that vision a reality

Your donation to the Study Abroad Global Equity (Sage Scholarship) will provide crucial scholarships, ensuring that every student, regardless of their financial background, can access the benefits of global education.

Your contribution will directly:

  • Reduce financial barriers to study abroad, especially for underserved populations
  • Increase access to international internships.
  • Ensure the success of new programs (e.g. STEM fields such as Healthcare or Neurosciencedesigned to equip students with the skills and experiences they need to succeed post-graduation.

Don't miss this opportunity to invest in the future of UO students. Give now and help us open doors to the world.

Be the Catalyst for Global Change

Today's most pressing challenges—sustainable energy, global health, aging populations, and equitable economic opportunities—demand bold, collaborative solutions that transcend borders.

True impact doesn't happen in isolation; it happens when research moves beyond the lab and into the field, where it directly transforms lives.

The Global Studies Institute (GSI) is at the forefront of this movement, uniting top scholars from around the world to spark innovation, drive discovery, and create real-world solutionsWe're not just advancing knowledge; we're forging powerful partnerships, building bridges, and ensuring that groundbreaking research leads to tangible, lasting change, both locally and globally.

Imagine the Possibilities:

  • UO student researchers collaborating with scientists in the Amazon to pioneer sustainable solutions for fragile ecosystems.
  • UO students helping unravel the impact of B1 vitamin deficiencies on childhood diseases, paving the way for life-saving interventions worldwide.

Your support is the key to unlocking these extraordinary opportunities. With your investment, we can empower the next generation of global leaders through the Student Research Travel Fund, giving UO students the opportunity to engage in transformative research experiences beyond the classroom.
