Knight Campus
The Knight Campus fast-tracks science into life-changing innovations for Oregon and beyond.

The Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact is a hub of discovery and innovation where teams of world-class bioengineers and bioscientists are dramatically shortening the timeline between discovery and societal impact through world-class research, training and entrepreneurship in a nimble scientific enterprise.

With your partnership, the Knight Campus is:

  • A new educational model – in bioengineering and applied sciences – that is responsive to industry need, training a high-skilled workforce for Oregon and the region.
  • A research and development engine, launching new technologies and start-up companies that spin out of academic labs.
  • A catalyst for academic and industrial partnerships, including OSU, OHSU, PeaceHealth, and other academic collaborators.

Your gift to support Knight Campus Undergraduate Scholars allows us to offer a year-long undergraduate research experience in a Knight Campus affiliated lab, helping diverse and talented students drive discoveries and launch their careers in science and medicine. This program has trained 124 Scholars to date and is 100% supported through private philanthropy.

Gifts to this fund will unlock a challenge gift – matching $1 for every $1 donated on Ducks Give 2026, up to $10,000 – from Tina Guldberg, Associate Vice President for Economic Development and Strategic Relations, and Bob Guldberg, Vice President and Robert and Leona DeArmond Executive Director of the Knight Campus.
