“For University of Oregon, the Clark Honors College is a beacon to recruit gifted and high-achieving students. Honors education provides a great democratizing effect, making the education of elite institutions accessible, often closer to home, and much lower in cost.”
-Dr. Terry Hunt, Dean, Robert D. Clark Honors College
The University of Oregon has made the Honors College a top priority in this campaign. President Schill declared a goal to increase CHC enrollment by 50% while maintaining the small class sizes and individual attention that defines the Honors College experience.
To reach this goal we need your help, and today is your opportunity. Generous donor and CHC graduate, Genice Rabe '72 and her husband Stephen are challenging the entire CHC community. Today they're making a gift of $100,000 to the Frank Herbert Mingle Thesis Research Fund, which supports CHC seniors as they complete their final theses. We have a goal of 56 donors for each of the 56 years of fantastic Clark Honors College education. Make your gift today and help us meet the challenge!
When we set out to start the #DucksGive tradition, we never imagined how far it would go. But you made it huge. We're still tabulating final numbers, but our current numbers say 1502 donors and $1,824,400.
We'll be taking a look at the breakdown in the coming hours to find out the true extent of the amazing impact this money will have, but first, we just want to say thank you.
Whether you made a gift, shared a post, or mentioned the campaign to a friend, you were part of #DucksGive, and we couldn't have done it without you.
So thank you. When Ducks work together, we can do so much more than we ever could alone.
Sincerely,
The University of Oregon
P.S. If you missed your chance to make a gift during #DucksGive, you can still give online at giving.uoregon.edu.
We're down to 4 hours and 5 challenges still open. Can we beat them all?
