Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is dedicated to contributing first-hand to the education of all JSMA visitors. To help everyone become culturally competent global citizens. To further the appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts for the general public. Because the knowledge of art enriches people’s lives.

Each year, the JSMA provides art experiences to more than 5,000 K-12 students from throughout Oregon. From guided tours to studio activities to classroom visits, our passionate staff and team of trained volunteers are making certain that children in Oregon are exposed to a world of art. Thanks to donors like you, it costs students NOTHING. Donate to FILL UP THE BUS to provide scholarships for schoolchildren to participate in tours in which they would otherwise be unable to participate. The funds raised by this program will provide free bus transportation to the JSMA as well as cover the fees and expenses for the pre-visit, the tour, and the post-tour activity.

  • $250 will fully cover bus transportation, tour with an Exhibition Interpreter, and post-tour art activities in the studio for an entire classroom.
  • $100 will cover the cost for 40 students.
  • $50 will cover the cost for 20 students.
  • $25 will cover the cost of 10 students.
WOW.

When we set out to start the #DucksGive tradition, we never imagined how far it would go. But you made it huge. We're still tabulating final numbers, but our current numbers say 1502 donors and $1,824,400.

We'll be taking a look at the breakdown in the coming hours to find out the true extent of the amazing impact this money will have, but first, we just want to say thank you.

Whether you made a gift, shared a post, or mentioned the campaign to a friend, you were part of #DucksGive, and we couldn't have done it without you.

So thank you. When Ducks work together, we can do so much more than we ever could alone.

Sincerely,

The University of Oregon

P.S. If you missed your chance to make a gift during #DucksGive, you can still give online at giving.uoregon.edu.
