KWAX: UO's Classical Radio Gem

KWAX Classical Oregon, 91.1 FM, has been an essential part of UO life since its founding as a 10-watt student station in 1951. Now 20,000-watts and streaming worldwide, it airs the best in classical music 24/7 with live-hosted programs from 8 am- 5 pm weekdays.

A public radio station, KWAX is almost entirely listener supported. Gifts help to:

Present knowledgeable, discerning announcers who draw from a library of more than 50,000 recordings
Offer inspiration, solace, and joy through the tradition of classical music
Help promote accomplishments and performances of UO musicians and artists
Provide a vital link for emergency broadcast alerts across the state
Reach a weekly audience of 23,000 in the Eugene area, and many thousands more worldwide
