Graduate School

The Graduate School, formally a part of the research office, became an independent school within the UO in 2015 to remain focused on advocating for all graduate students and their programs.

Since then, we have:

  • Increased the number of doctoral dissertation fellowships awarded from one to twenty-three
  • Increased support to incoming grad students by establishing 61 full fellowships for incoming doctoral students
  • More than doubled the number of scholarships for students from underrepresented groups in both masters and doctoral programs
  • Expanded our services to include career placement support and continue to provide professional development opportunities through our annual events like the Graduate Student Research Forum.

We've made a lot of progress in graduate education and we look forward to continued growth of graduate resources.  All of these developments wouldn’t be possible without the support of alumni like yourself.  Please click on the link and give to the UO Graduate School.  All gifts will go to support graduate student travel grants through the Graduate School Dean’s Excellence Fund.  Thank you!
