Make a gift to the JSMA on Thursday, May 13, to enrich the UO student experience! This year we’re fundraising for the Anne Cooling Student Impact Fund, which provides financial support for costs related to student employment, internships and externships, and professional development in the Museum. Did you know:
- Over 10,000 students visited the JSMA either physically or virtually during the 2019-2020 school year.
- The JSMA partners with more than 300 classes across 55 UO academic departments.
- More than 50 UO students work in the JSMA each year.
The COVID-19 pandemic uprooted many plans over the last year. Thankfully, the JSMA partnered with its student workers to create Museum Students, Museum Stories as a way to keep all of them employed during the trying time. While working from home, our student workers created content for our fully-digital access to the JSMA and provided social media content and shared their stories while living through this major historical event.
“My positive experiences in the art museum helped me during my transition from high school to college, while equally fostering my interest in pursuing a career in the art world. Having access to a place like this was instrumental to my development as an artist, so being able to share this environment with my peers has been very exciting for me.” – Olivia Schultz
Student development is at the heart of what we do; your gift can help provide world-class opportunities to students across all departments and fields of study at the UO. Help us make a difference.
