Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics
Support Civic Engagement and Future Public Leaders

Join the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics in encouraging civic engagement and enlightened dialogue. Your gift will support programs such as Wayne Morse Scholars, which provides skills building, service learning, and leadership training to UO undergrads interested in public affairs and community engagement. These students learn to reach beyond partisan labels and conflicts to find effective solutions to public problems.

Your gift will also support the Wayne Morse Center’s free public events, which bring students, scholars, activists, policymakers, and communities together to discuss issues affecting Oregon, our nation, and the world. During the pandemic, we have pivoted to virtual events, hosting a total of sixteen so far. Contributions from donors have allowed our audiences across the nation to hear from speakers such as Alondra Nelson, the deputy director for science and society in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; and Eric Holder, former Attorney General of the United States.
