Division of Graduate Studies
By supporting UO graduate students, you shape their future and yours.

The UO educates and trains more than 3,600 graduate students who serve as transformative leaders in our communities. UO graduate students create knowledge and use skills to solve our most difficult social problems and improve the way we live. In fact, UO graduate student alumni include 10 Pulitzer Prize winners, including 2 Nobel laureates. Around the world, including the U.S., graduate education contributes to the public good by bolstering public education, health, employment, and civic engagement.

To ensure our graduate students’ success and strengthen their impact, the UO provides graduate students with educational funding, professional development, career preparation, advising and mentorship, and state-of-the art laboratory facilities and field experiences.

Your gift today goes directly to support graduate students in the form of scholarships and emergency assistance funding that helps students conduct their research, travel to present their scholarship and gain professional development, and pay living expenses. Last year, the UO awarded graduate students more than $2,500,000 in scholarships.

Every dollar matters. Investing in our graduate students today is investing in a better world tomorrow.
