Ducks Give '22

The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is a place for making connections—to each other, to our past, and to our future. It's a place for digging into science, celebrating culture, and joining together to create a just and sustainable world.

Since our founding, we’ve aspired to enhance knowledge of earth’s environments and cultures, inspiring stewardship of our collective past, present and future.  We conduct research and create exhibits in collaboration with Native American Tribes to enhance public knowledge of the state’s deep history.  From perennial exhibits like Oregon – Where Past is Present and Explore Oregon, to exciting changing exhibits like Magic in Medieval Europe, there are always connections to be made between the past and the present.

As the world adjusted to a new normal, we found innovative ways to help you stay connected through online resources, museum “take out” activities, and virtual exhibits.  Our Museum from Home program features hands on activities, collection galleries, programs and outstanding exhibits such as Racing to Change, an award-winning civil rights exhibit, in partnership with Oregon Black Pioneers.
