Past initiatives supported by the President's Success Fund include:

• The African American Workshop and Lecture Series connects national experts with UO thought leaders and change agents. It is focused on helping the campus to better understand the most promising practices and expertise to institutionalize more effective environments, practices and policies of equity and inclusion.
• Common Reading Program creates community across campus. Each year, the Common Reading program presents an engaging book or reading that will be the focus of a campus-wide discussion. Enjoy the opportunity to meet authors, have lively discussions with peers, and experience the piece inside and outside of the classroom.
• Presidential Fellowships in Arts and Humanities provides vital financial support for faculty in the arts, humanities and social sciences to enhance their scholarship, research and creative activity.
• The Promising Scholar Awards support highly-qualified incoming graduate students from diverse backgrounds who add to the academic and scholarly excellence of the university.
• Connected Lane County brings together local school districts, institutions of higher education, the local workforce board, and industry innovators to provide underrepresented Lane County youth with vital experiences, as well as address systemic barriers that harm equity and accessibility for all students.
