School of Music and Dance
Help Support Music & Dance Education!

A small gift from you can make a big difference for us. It could mean a new instrument in the hands of an aspiring musician, an inspiring workshop from a guest artist, or the opportunity for Oregon students to compete on the national and international stage.

The School of Music and Dance is a careful steward of its donated funds. Gifts directly support students and faculty members in over 300 concerts and events each year, and improve the performances through the purchase of new instruments and equipment.  This year we’re highlighting four areas to support:

School of Music and Dance Dean's Excellence Fund: Provides unrestricted funds to be used by the dean to support urgent needs and opportunities that have no other source of funding.

School of Music Annual Scholarship Award Fund: Scholarships play an important role in recruiting the best students for performing arts programs. It’s vital that the School of Music and Dance carefully balance the makeup and composition of its ensembles. Imagine a symphony with too few violins, an opera without sopranos, or a marching band without a drumline.

Dance Discretionary Fund: This fund allows the head of the Department of Dance to provide more students with more meaningful support every year, and helps with the purchase of equipment for the Dance facilities.

Dance Scholarship Fund: This fund provides scholarships and grants to students in the Dance Department.
