We are Duck Rides: The University of Oregon’s free, safe, accessible nighttime transportation service run by students, for students.
Every night, our student staff works hard to provide transportation to the UO community. We are committed to promoting the safety of all university members and furthering a culture of safety and respect with each ride given.
Duck Rides is a staple of the campus community. Students without the means to pay for a per-ride service like taxis or ride-hailing, or who need more tailored service than the bus, count on the ride programs as a secure option operated by people they can trust.
Duck Rides is continuously assessing the program and its utilization and efficiency, looking for the best ways to maximize vehicle deployment and driver and navigator time. The programs employ over 60 UO students, operating seven days per week during the academic terms.
Beyond providing reliable transportation, the Duck Rides team also strives to be a source for student wellness education and advocacy. We routinely collaborate with campus partners to provide meaningful development opportunities to both our staff and our community, which allows us to continue becoming the best student representatives we can be. It is our goal to hold ourselves to the highest standards of student support and empowerment.
Duck Rides continues to be staffed and guided by UO students, but operated to expand service and utilization, and increase efficiency and reliability.
We continue to live our mission of student safety and wellness promotion every night, one ride at a time.
Support Duck Rides during Ducks Give, and help ensure UO students remain safe.
