Experiential learning helps students transform knowledge into skills, ideas into innovation, and aspirations into achievements. As the largest college at UO, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) offers a wide range of experiential learning opportunities across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. These immersive experiences empower students to become dynamic contributors within their fields and communities.
But these opportunities can be costly, and many are unpaid. The CAS Experiential Learning Fund serves as a bridge between classroom and career by providing essential financial support to undergraduate students embarking on internships, research opportunities, service-learning experiences, and more.
Your support will help us:
- Break financial barriers. Many experiential learning opportunities are unpaid, creating barriers for students facing financial constraints. Your contribution will provide scholarships of up to $5,000 to alleviate expenses such as travel, lodging, and living costs to ensure that financial need does not hinder career growth.
- Foster equal opportunity. Your gift will help provide every student with the opportunity to pursue their passions and potential, irrespective of financial circumstances.
- Empower career development. Whether it's an internship at a groundbreaking research facility, a service-learning project in an underserved community, or a fieldwork expedition to study biodiversity, your generosity will empower students to explore, discover, and excel in their chosen paths.
