Try to remember your earliest memory of live music. When you saw a real person with an instrument or using their voice to create magic. Maybe you remember seeing the look of awe or glint of curiosity in a child or a grandchild. Perhaps you appreciate the value of music yourself and want to see future generations have these magical experiences. When you support OBF Family events, you make these experiences possible for families across our community.
In 2024, your DucksGive donations to Oregon Bach Festival will provide community access to free OBF Family Events. Two examples of this programming include a performance of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals at the Hult Center of the Performing Arts and events with the Eugene Science Center in collaboration with our performance of Holst’s The Planets. Carnival of the Animals is a family favorite, while The Planets provides a creative link between the world of music and that of science. Family events include hands-on activities designed to enhance the experience, engage young minds, and foster an appreciation of music.
These opportunities are only possible through the generosity of individuals like you. We rely on financial contributions from our community to sustain and enhance our OBF Family events. Will you help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 with a donation today? Whether you can contribute $1 or $1,000, your gift today is crucial to providing families with access to musical experiences and lifelong memories.
