Miss Ducks Give? It's never too late to make an impact!
Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics
Support Civic Engagement and Future Public Leaders

Join the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics in cultivating civic engagement and uplifting the next generation of community leaders!

Your gift will support our three programs for students:

The Wayne Morse Scholars program provides skills building, service learning, and leadership training to UO undergrads from any major or background who are interested in public affairs and inclusive democracy.

The Wayne Morse Law Fellowship program provides 10-week, full-time summer positions in Washington, D.C., Portland, and Salem for UO Law students who have demonstrated a commitment to serve the public interest.

The Graduate Research Fellows program provides funding for graduate students to delve into important, timely topics related to the current Wayne Morse Center theme of inquiry.

To date, contributions from those who believe in the work of the Wayne Morse Center have provided life-changing opportunities to more than 400 students in these programs. They are now working to serve their communities in Oregon and beyond in a variety of ways. Here are a few examples:

  • Wayne Morse Scholar Kennedy Parish (’23, Comparative Literature) serves as the ACLU of Oregon’s communication and storytelling associate.
  • Wayne Morse Scholar Cynthia Aguilar (’20, Economics & Political Science) is the rapid response program manager for the Western States Center as well as campaign manager for a Lane County commissioner.
  • Wayne Morse Environmental Law Fellow Greg Giunta (’23) will soon be serving as an honors attorney with the U.S. Department of Energy.
  • Wayne Morse Law Fellow Vanessa Jackson is the head of the legal department of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.

In addition to providing students with opportunities, your gift will also support the Wayne Morse Center’s free public events, which bring students, scholars, activists, policymakers, and community members together to discuss issues affecting Oregon, our nation, and the world.

Give to the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics during Ducks Give, and support programs for students and the community that strengthen our democracy.
