Support Duck Rides during Ducks Give, and help ensure UO students remain safe.
In 2022 Transportation Services took on responsibilities of the Duck Rides program in a planned transition from UOPD to Transportation Services.
Duck Rides is a student led program dedicated to providing free and accessible transportation to all university students, staff and faculty. The leadership team, dispatchers and drivers are staffed entirely by UO students. Duck Rides operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight, seven days a week during academic terms. Rides are first come first serve. Rides are scheduled on a daily basis by calling (541)346-7433. We are inclusive regardless of sex, gender identity, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation etc.
Our goal is to provide safe transportation that is an alternative to walking home alone at night.
Since Transportation Services took over management of Duck Rides, we have given over 20,000 rides from 2022, on average of 91 free rides a night.
Even with services like Uber and Lyft, Duck Rides is a staple of the campus community. Students without the means to pay for a per-ride service like taxis or ride-hailing, or who need more tailored service than the bus, count on the ride programs as a trusted, secure option operated by Ducks, for Ducks.
Duck Rides is free to all UO students, staff, and faculty. Our program is staffed and operated to expand service, utilization, reliability, increase efficiency and reliability.
Support Duck Rides during #DucksGive, and help ensure UO students remain safe.
