We are the University of Oregon Dance Team. Ranked 4th in the country, we are the only collegiate team in the entire state of Oregon that competes twice a year at both the D1A & D1 level against the best college dance teams in the country.
We are a completely self-funded team at the University and each year we strive to be the best, but monetary situations often hold us back. With the costs rising, currently it costs around $120,000 for our team to function.
As the competitive team, we represent the state of Oregon twice a year at both UDA College Nationals in Orlando, Florida & USA College Nationals in Anaheim, California. We currently hold the title of 4th in the nation for D1 Jazz. Below are some of the nationals costs that we have to raise money for:
- Registration - $30,000
- Costumes - $20,000
- Flights - $15,000
- Lodging - $7,000
- Routine Choreography Fees - $8,000
- Car Rentals - $1,200
- Studio Rentals - $1,000
In total, that’s around $82,200 just for us to be able to compete. In addition to nationals, we proudly represent the University of Oregon at community events, UO Hockey games, high school events, and more! With that comes the rising costs of things like:
- Team gear - $20,000
- Team photoshoot - $3,000
- Team Transportation - $2,000
- Coaching Fees - $12,000
- And more!
On average, in addition to fundraising, our dancers have to pay team dues. We are trying to make this program accessible to all, so please consider donating to The University of Oregon Dance Team.
