Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics
Support Civic Engagement and Future Public Leaders

Join the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics in cultivating civic engagement and uplifting the next generation of community leaders!

Your gift will support our three programs for students:

  • The Wayne Morse Scholars Program gives undergraduates opportunities to build real-world skills, engage in hands-on service learning, and grow as a leader in public affairs and inclusive democracy. Open to UO undergrads of all majors and backgrounds, this program equips changemakers with the tools they need to make a difference.
  • The Wayne Morse Law Fellowship offers UO Law students a prestigious, 10-week, full-time summer placement in Washington, D.C., Portland, or Salem, where they gain invaluable experience working on public interest law and policy. Fellows are selected for their passion for justice and commitment to serving the public good.
  • The Graduate Research Fellows Program provides graduate students with funding to dive deep into critical, timely issues, fostering innovative research that has a lasting impact.

Thanks to the generosity of those who believe in the Wayne Morse Center’s mission, these programs have provided life-changing opportunities to more than 400 students—many of whom are now shaping policy, advocating for justice, and strengthening communities across Oregon and beyond.

  • Wayne Morse Scholar Madison Moskowitz '17 is U.S. Senator Ron Wyden's policy advisor for economic development. She leads Sen. Wyden’s work negotiating and developing policy relating to financial services, housing, homelessness and real estate, small business, semiconductors, cannabis, and community and economic development.
  • Wayne Morse Scholar Cate Jaffe '17 is  an associate environmental scientist for the San Francisco Estuary Institute, where she supports the Resilient Landscapes Program work on urban ecology, landscape analysis and planning, and science communications.
  • Wayne Morse Law Fellow Ana Tinker Colwell '22 (Citizen of the Osage Nation) serves as an assistant public defender at Southwestern Oregon Public Defender Services in Coos Bay.

In addition to empowering emerging leaders, your generosity helps fund the Wayne Morse Center’s free public events, where students, scholars, activists, policymakers, and community members come together to tackle the pressing issues shaping Oregon, the nation, and the world.

Give to the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics during Ducks Give, and support programs for students and the community that strengthen our democracy.
